Favorite Artist
When I studied abroad in the Netherlands I was exposed to so much European culture that it shaped the person you see today. During this trip, I took an art history course focusing on Vincent Van Gogh. Part of the lessons involved going to see his original artwork in Amsterdam.
The vibrant colors Van Gogh used made a lasting impression on me. And his ‘Wheatfield with Crows’ Stood out to me due to the deep blues, golden yellows, and bold blacks he used to capture what he saw in nature.

Whenever I find myself in Amsterdam, I usually visit the Van Gogh Museum and sit in front of this painting, while reflecting on the emotions that were stirred when I first saw this iconic painting.
